My name is Julia Hurst. I grew up right here in Kenton County, attending Turkey Foot and Dixie before heading to Eastern Kentucky University for college. This will be my second year at TFMS but my fifth year of teaching middle school students. I previously taught 8th grade science but am excited to return back to teaching math for my 4th year. If you can LISTEN and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS you should not have any problems this year. I believe that everyone can succeed and will succeed if they can FOCUS and put their mind to it.
I have very high standards for each of my students. By following the Turkey Foot Matrix, these are the expectations that each teacher has for the students this year.
My goal each year is to have the students be better prepared for the lives that are in store for them; to be ready for high school and beyond. In order to do that, I hope that I am able to open their eyes to new ways of viewing the world.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child and their success this year, please feel free to call me or email me using the information listed below. On the next page, there is a place for you to fill out regarding your email address. Thanks and I look forward to a GREAT school year!
